The game begins with dealing all cards to the tableau, arranged as eight stacks six or seven cards each. All cards are dealt face up. There are four reserve cells above the tableau. Initially they are empty.
The object of Free Cell is to build four foundation piles up in suit running from Ace to King.
You can build tableau piles down by alternate color. Only the top cards of the tableau are available to play.
Empty tableau spaces can be filled with any card.
You can move free tableau cards to the reserve. Each reserve cell can hold only one card. Then you can place a reserved card either to the foundations or to the tableau piles.
To move a card to the foundations or to the reserve, right-click it.
In Figure, to free A and A you can move Q and J to the reserve.
You can move a tableau sequence of cards automatically if there are enough free spaces in the tableau and reserve. Click the top card of the sequence to select the whole sequence, then click the card or an empty space where you want to move the sequence.
